Here are the fixins for Cuban Coffee. You need to pack down the coffee as in the picture.Pour the first bit of coffee(about a teaspoon)that spouts up into your cup that has about 6 teaspoons of sugar. You whip with a spoon till its creamy.Pour coffee into cup and stir till sugar dissolves and foams to top.You can add Sambuca or Cristol to taste if you like! :P The cigar is a LaPerla Black Pearl and is very tasty with the coffee.

When I lived in Miami, Cuban Coffee became on of my biggest vices. I used to drink it until I would feel my heart start to fibrillate, and then I would know it was time to stop. :D

It's hard to explain to people who haven't lived in a Cuban community. I used to think it was so cool the way Cuban guys from other offices would over and would bring coffee and the little cups, and we would all sit around and have a cup before we got started.

You've made me miss Miami, (and that's not easy to do). :D

When I sold boats in Cutler Ridge I stopped at a shop that made Cuban Coffee and fresh pastelitos of gauva and cheese every morning. The other guys would bring in cinnamon rolls from the Amish down the road from Monkey jungle. All you could smell was coffee and cinnamon in the air in the morning.I had a hard time working those calories off!I dont miss the thugs that seem to have taken over. There is a reason I will prefer a mooring ball when we go to Floridah.I still cook a pig Cuban style when we can get one.

Im making the best of being in south florida and getting my Cuban Coffee and Guava and cheese pastels in the morning.Trying to lose the weight from the extra calories shouldnt be hard since its hot and sticky here.
