LaSoufriere appears about to pop. PM has cruise ships coming to evacuate citizens. This is about 250 miles from Montserrat, whose Soufriere Hills blew back in 1995 and continues to "burp" occasionally.

The situation is quite dire. La Soufriere continues to erupt and ashfall 6" deep covers a good percentage of St. Vincent. Grenada is getting a little ashfall. Makes me wonder about Kick 'em Jenny. Multiple cruise ships moving SVG residents to other islands, but other jurisdictions are now refusing non-vaccinated refugees. Curiously, ashfall is worst to the East over Barbados. Upper level winds are fluky. Nothing here at 18N. The ashfall, with a little rain, turns everything to concrete and homes, buildings are collapsing and roads are not passable. None of this bodes well for SVG residents.

Continued "seismic unrest." We're buffing our stuff, rebuilding a diesel, getting ready to bust off for points south later on. Sail the Tartan down, truck and ship the Dyer 29 down. I'm back to being resident VI. I see some pretty dire shit on the US horizon.

Deer flies. Some blackflies. No mud, very dry winter. No construction. Not with KD studs going for over $10.00 apiece.

Tearing down diesel all day yesterday in 95 degree heat. Sweaty, dieselly, greasy bilge boy.
